Austism and SPD: Although this 3D Pin Art is entertaining for children of all ages, it also makes an excellent addition to any multisensory environment (MSE) designed to accommodate individuals with sensory processing disorder (SPD). When the palm's sensitive surface is pressed against the rods, it receives stimulation in the form of coolness and finely localized sensations. Flipping the frame upside down will cause the rods to shift back into place with an audible clunking sound, providing the user with auditory feedback.
