Collection: Science & Nature

Show your child that science is about “the way things work” and can constantly be found all around us, in nature, in the home and in everyday experiences.

Kids are never too young for exposure to the wonders of the natural and physical world that surround them.

There are many ways children can experience and experiment, as they take part in science through play! Collecting and observing insects and plants and flowers,  watching how bubbles rise and fall and travel with the wind, predicting what will float and what will sink in a tub of water, measuring, weighing and comparing size and volume with scales, cups, containers, watching water beads grow from specks of sand to as big as a marble, examining cause and effect, exploring magnetics...... so many activities to do that teach them so much.

What are Science Concepts?

Science is about observing, making predictions, testing those predictions, and trying to figure out what those results mean.

The 7 basic preschool science concepts are:
  • Observing.
  • Comparing.
  • Classifying.
  • Measuring.
  • Communicating.
  • Inferring.
  • Predicting.
